Dakota Spirit AgEnergy readying for production in Spiritwood
SPIRITWOOD, N.D. — The Midwest AgEnergy Group‘s Dakota Spirit AgEnergy ethanol plant in Spiritwood has begun taking in corn. The project, which was announced in 2013, is currently testing its grain handling capabilities as construction is wrapping up on the processing side of the operation.
The facility has a 1.75 million bushel capacity, which is enough to keep the plant operational for 25 days at any given time. The Dakota Spirit AgEnergy ethanol plant is scheduled to begin ethanol production in May.
